My Most Unforgettable and Lasting Memory

I’ll never forget the summer when I was seven years old. During that summer, I attended Vacation Bible School at my church, Liberty Hill Baptist. Vacation Bible School was fun. We played games, had snacks, and had Bible stories. One day during the Bible story my teacher, Mrs. Denise, began telling us about when Jesus died on the cross and that he died for us. I began to listen very closely. I was sad when I realized that Jesus was hung on a cross to die and he loved me so much that he was willing to die for me. But, at the same time I felt happy that he died on the cross for me. When Mrs. Denise finished the story she asked if we were amazed about the story and if any of us wanted to talk more about Jesus to come to her. I talked to her and I told her that I wanted Jesus to forgive me of my sins and for Him to come into my heart. I also wanted to be baptized. So, Mrs. Denise went to tell Pastor Jeff and he went to get my dad who was in his class. It frightened my dad when Pastor Jeff told him, “Hannah needs to see you.” Of course, he was really happy when he realized why I wanted to see him!

I didn’t know that I could feel sad, happy and shy all at the same time. I was sad because of the horrible way Jesus was treated before he died, happy that he’s alive and because he was willing to do this for me, and shy because I was so little around all of those big people. But that day when I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and to come into my heart, I felt like a new person. Also, all those Bible games we played now made sense!

This day I will never forget, even through amnesia --- it’s eternal!

I Think We Have Learned Our Lessons

We just got through learning about Anne Frank. I think Mrs. Chapman wanted us to learn this

because even though the Holocaust has come and gone doesn't mean it's over. What I mean is we

are still at war, just not the Jews and Nazi war. In the Holocaust it was all about the Nazis hating

the Jews. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the German Nazis and was a mean man. He would tell

his "so called servants" to go find the Jews and take them to a concentration camp. In my own

words, a concentration camp is a place Nazis took the Jews. The Nazis didn't like the Jews

because after World War I the Jews could go different places and prosper while the Nazis were

still on their knees. Basically, the Nazis were jealous. The good thing is the Jews didn't do it back.

Do unto others as you would have them do to you. After watching all those videos it mad me

very sad. If I could I would try fixing this by praying that everybody could lead themselves to

Christ. I also think we should be like Anne Frank because she thought that since somebody was

cruel doesn't mean they can't change and they are still good at heart..........well most people.

The Five Most Important Occupations

It was just a normal day. Everyone was busy with the day to day activities. All of a sudden
BOOM....... North Korea dropped an atomic bomb on Anytown, USA. In just seconds, Anytown disappeared. But people living outside the town had survived. Now they would have to rebuild their town. They began to think of the five most important jobs needed to rebuild their town. In the far distance they saw a little church still standing. How was that possible? In that church was a preacher who had also survived. This preacher would be at the top of their list of five people to help rebuild the town. His job would be to encourage and minister to the people and let them know that God is with them. After all that has happened there is a lot of diseases, illnesses, hurting and unhealthy people. Second on their list is a doctor. All their food supply has vanished. Number three - they will need farmers to raise crops and animals for food. Who will educate the people on how to rebuild their town? Teachers are added fourth on the list. Last on their list is a builder who would construct their buildings and homes.

I think the animal that best suits me is a Golden Retriever

If I was an animal, I believe I would be a dog, particularly a Golden Retriever. Golden Retrievers love their families and love to be included in all the family activities. They are "sporting dogs" who love to run, play and exercise. I love my family very much and we do a lot of things together, especially playing sports. Golden Retrievers are very energetic and playful. I love to do track and play softball. Golden Retrievers are friendly to everyone, reliable, and trustworthy. I try to be friendly to everyone and hope I will always be a reliable and trustworthy friend.

If Mrs. Chapman was an animal, I believe she would be a bear. Bears are usually predictable, just like Mrs. Chapman. She says what she means, and means what she says. When you first encounter a bear, you may be frightened. They seem mean and fierce. But once you understand a bear, you realize they are not that bad. If you will respect them and their territory (don't get around Mrs. Chapman's desk), you'll be okay. Bears can be strict, but also affectionate, joyful and playful, just like Mrs. Chapman. Mrs. Chapman, you are one of the best teachers!!!

The Joy of Christmas

Some people may think the joy and true meaning of Christmas is leaving Santa Claus cookies and milk and waking up to see what Santa has brought them. Also, when the month turns to December or even by the end of November, some people’s joy and thoughts about Christmas are in hurrying around and buying great presents for just the right person. Then on Christmas morning after the presents have been opened their joy seems to go away. What these people are missing is the greatest gift of all – the true meaning and joy of Christmas.
God gave us the GREATEST gift of all… Jesus… on that first Christmas morning. That’s a joy that stays with you after the gift has been opened. Let's all remember the greatest gift and true meaning of Christmas!!!

Hannah

Hey my name is Hannah as you can see. I enjoy playing sports (fast pitch softball, basketball and track), spending time with my family and friends. I have tons of friends but my best friend is Jessica. Mainly all my friends go to my school (besides talking about family and friends outside of my school.) I have a lot more interest but I wanted to name a few. My favorite football team is the Georgia Bulldogs. One day I plan to attend the University of Georgia.

Philippians 4:13- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Matthew 19:26- With God all things are possible.
